Wickside Hackney

For the Wickside, Hackney project, we supplied Coverock V mineral wool insulation across a complex and varied façade design, using a range of insulation thicknesses to suit the different build-ups and application requirements throughout the development. Delivered over an approximately 12-month programme, the project required careful planning, technical input and ongoing coordination to ensure materials were supplied in line with the construction sequence.

The insulation was used across several different areas of the project, including rainscreen façade applications, aluminium cladding, Equitone panel systems and car park soffit areas. With multiple façade types and design conditions involved, the specification process required a more detailed approach than a standard single-application project.

Our technical team supported the project from the specification stage, helping to review the different wall and façade build-ups and identify the most appropriate Coverock V thicknesses and solutions for each application. This included providing relevant technical information, calculations and project-specific assessments to help the client and design team evaluate the proposed insulation solutions across the different parts of the scheme.

Throughout the 12-month delivery programme, close cooperation with the site team was essential. Deliveries had to be coordinated around the progress of different areas of the development, with varying thicknesses and quantities required at different stages. Regular communication and careful logistics planning helped maintain continuity of supply while ensuring the correct materials were available when required.

Our involvement therefore extended from early-stage specification and technical support through to product selection, logistics planning and site coordination. The ability to support several different façade and soffit applications within one project was particularly important given the architectural complexity and varied design of the scheme.
